HOW DOES IT WORK?

You must become a member of Doves Legal. By paying a small monthly premium, you have 24h access to your Legal Advisor.
Once your premium has been received, you are on cover.
You will be able to receive telephonic advice immediately.

WAITING PERIODS

The following waiting periods are applicable before you qualify for the appointment of an Attorney:

• Divorce matters: 6 months
• All other matters: 2 months

If you have any legal concern, you may contact us on your 24h line, within 30 days of the event, and we will take care of your legal requirements.

• Cover for CRIMINAL matters.
• Cover for CIVIL matters.
• Cover for LABOUR matters.
• Cover for UNCONTESTED DIVORCE matters.
• Cover for FAMILY matters.
• Cover for TRAFFIC OFFENCE matters.
• Cover for 3rd PARTY MOTOR VEHICLE matters.
• Provision of customised WILLS and other STANDARD AGREEMENTS (Subject to terms and Conditions).

• Family Matters.
• Motor Related Matters.
• Bail cover of R5 000.

WHAT WILL I GET?

Besides expert Legal Advice and Services, we will send you:

• Your new peronalised Doves Legal membership card, with your name and policy number.
• Your Welcome Letter.
• Your Disclosure Notice which contains all Statutory information.
• Your Policy Schedule.

GENERAL

• No consultation fee – you ONLY pay your monthly premium.
• In order to claim, call 0861 33 33 63 and you will be in direct contact with a Legal Advisor.
• The Legal Advisor will assess the merits of your matter and decide how to proceed based on this assessment.
• Do not sign blank or partially completed forms.
• Complete the application form in black ink.
• The insurer reserves the right to decide whether appeals or reviews are covered on a case to case basis;
• Reimbursements for expert witnesses, MVA reports, medical reports and other miscellaneous expenses is NOT covered by this policy.
• Any legal costs recovered will be paid to the insurer.
• You are not permitted to use or instruct your own lawyer without our written approval.
