Khandani Msibi is the CEO of NIC and has over 20 years experience in Manufacturing and Sales within the steel and the FMCG Industry; 5 years in Operations and Sales within Facilities, Catering and Cleaning Industries and a stint at a Water Board. Khandani started his career in the metal industries where he serviced apprenticeships and welding and tubemaking at Stewards and Lloyds. He spent 9 years as a Metal Worker and rose to the position of a Production Foreman. Khandani joined the FMCG industry where he worked for successful companies such as ABI, Bromor Foods and Brystol Meyers Squibb where he managed factories and participated in the development of new products like Energade and helped in the development of its route to market. Khandani was involved in all key projects that included rebranding the corporate identity, establishing performance management systems, reshaping the organizational culture and Managing for value, a value based management system that used the economic value added as the measure of corporate success.
In his career Khandani has implemented organizational renewal programs like the “world class manufacturing” systems and the Pragma maintenance systems with dramatic impact on efficiencies. Khandani’s career achievements include leading a team on a green field factory project in Durban for Bromor Foods and later on preventing the closure of ABI Pretoria factory through productivity improvement and innovations.
Khandani has well developed leadership skills, having worked in the public sector as well as CEO of a Water Board. Khandani is the Chairman of ICSA and Poliflora (Pty) Ltd.
